Bob Gleason - Basket Weaver
Bob is the Beeline Guest House’s resident basket weaver and works on basket projects year ‘round.
He’s been a member of the local Pine/Strawberry Arts and Crafts Guild for over 5 years as well as a member of the Basket Artisans of Arizona. He sells baskets on the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends at the Pine/Strawberry Arts and Crafts Festival in Pine, plus in the Westwood Art Gallery (next to Beeline Guest House) and the Down the Street Art Gallery on Main Street in Payson. Baskets are also available at the Beeline Guest House.
He generally weaves with rattan reed he hand dyes, weaving baskets of his own design. Future plans include cultivating willow on the grounds at the Beeline Guest for weaving willow baskets.
If you have an interest in learning to weave baskets just ask Bob – he teaches basket weaving classes if there is enough interest.
….and you can often see him weaving a basket on the front porch!
